Pandemic Purchases

As stay-at-home policies went into effect in the spring of 2020, many people turned to material goods and animal companions to animate their personal spaces and cope with their new reality. Homes became makeshift offices, gyms, dance floors, and havens.

The following are select purchases made by acquaintances in the early days of the pandemic. Time will tell if these objects will become part of these people’s new normal, or be remembered as whimsical remnants of a surreal time.
